Inauguration of manufacturing facility for VRLA Batteries at Ranjangaon (Pune)
May 18 2015, marked the entry of TGY into VRLA battery segment for two-wheelers. The new facility will manufacture 3 AH, 3.5 AH and 5 AH batteries which will be marketed under the brand name ‘Tata Green Batteries – Velocity Plus’.
Toru Bomoto-san, Director of GS Yuasa flagged the first consignment of Velocity Plus VRLA Batteries and expressed his complete support with latest technology to deliver long-lasting, durable batteries in India. Ajay Tandon, MD & CEO, Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd., acknowledged the launch as a major step to address the evolving automotive market while matching global standards and local conditions.
